Ahuja, a world-renowned researcher and academician, and a Professor of Industrial & System Engineering at the University of Florida, Gainesville, founded Innovative Scheduling, Inc. in 2000 with the desire to solve complex and large-scale transportation scheduling problems using innovative and state-of-the-art operations research techniques. He believes that universities provide a fertile ground to germinate ideas, while commercial companies are required to package and deliver those ideas to the market place.
