Car Pooling Move Over... Here Comes SKYPOOLING? SkyPooltm is a place in cyber space to make a connection between a pilot flying somewhere (who is interest in trying to recover some portion of his/her cost of the trip) and any other person (other pilot, general flying enthusiast, etc. ) interested in going along and gladly sharing some agreed on portion of the cost of the trip. Just like its land based cousin, carpooling, SkyPool is a system for people to connect up for plane ride/cost sharing opportunities. IF YOU ARE A PILOT? Pilots, of any skill level and with any flight certification. If you are planning a flight somewhere in the future, come in to SkyPooltm and register . Tell us who you are. Then file a flight plan for as many flights as you wish. IF YOU ARE AMONG THE RIDE SHARING PUBLIC If you are interested in flying along in some pilot's extra empty seat, search through the flight plans here on our system. If you find one that fits your interest, then contact the pilot and set up a time and place to meet. You, as the ride/cost sharing public, must recognize, that the normal flight orginating from a SkyPooltm connection, IS NOT a commercial passenger service. With this form of flying, the ride/cost sharing public must acknowledge, be fully aware of and be generally comfortable with the fact that you.. -ARE NOT a passenger (in the business service sense).. and .. and, as such, are not accorded any rights or expectations normally associated with passenger or customer type relationships. You would be a ride/cost sharing flier and are only accorded the rights normally associated with dealing with other people such as respect, courtesy and fair dealing. Again, with the normal SkyPooltm connection, this IS NOT a business/customer relationship. SPECIAL PLANE RIDES We have also started supporting plane rides. If you have a plane that you give people rides in and would like to tell the world that you offer this service, then we can help you get matched up with people who may be interested in taking your plane ride. This side of the site differs from the primary skypooling trip matching. We refer to basic skypooling as taking a trip from airport A to airport B, while this side of the site, matches pilots and riders up for a ride from, around and back to the same airport. There are quite a few pilots out there that offer specialty rides in WWII fighter and bomber aircraft, biplanes, helicopters, and a host of other aircraft that can benefit from this type of matching. Most of these services are commercial enterprises.
