Started in 1978 as a simple pamphlet distributed to Columbia College, INY currently reaches over 75,000 readers and appears in national bookstores including Barnes and Noble, Borders, The Strand and Amazon.com. With dozens of features and over 1,000 reviews of restaurants, bars, clubs, stores and arts venues, our guide offers the "inside scoop" on City living, hence "turning newcomers into New Yorkers." Each year, INY is distributed to all first-year students at Columbia and to dozens of other area colleges and universities including Barnard, NYU, JTS, UTS, Fordham, Pace, Yeshiva, Cooper Union and CUNY colleges, largely as part of orientation programs.
