For Leslie A. Londer, speech therapy has always been more than just a career - it's a passion. With a Master's degree in speech-language pathology from Columbia University Leslie started InSpeech, a company providing speech therapy services, in 1978. As founder and CEO of InSpeech, Inc., Leslie watched her company grow to over 350 employees with operations in 14 states. But InSpeech was not just another "speech therapy group." Carrying her passion to the next level and believing the "gift of speech is priceless", Leslie developed a model for speech service provision that revolutionized the field of contract speech therapy. In 1983, INC. Magazine recognized InSpeech as one of the top 500 privately held, fastest growing companies in the United States for 3 consecutive years. Realizing significant company growth and profitability, InSpeech was sold to NovaCare and taken public the same year on the NYSE. Leslie is an American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) certified Speech-Language Pathologist. Continuing her passion for the field of speech, Leslie started a scholarship program with the ASHA Foundation; "The InSpeech Student Graduate Scholarship Programs" giving deserving students an opportunity for an education.
