Since no two trees are exactly alike, and no two pieces of wood are the same, natural color and grain variations in wood products are normal. Wood texture and grain do affect the finish, so it is impossible to guarantee an exact match in finish between two pieces of furniture even though the identical finishing processes are applied. These natural characteristics give Intercon’s handcrafted, solid wood furniture its own unique quality. The wood we use in our manufacturing process is kiln dried to achieve ideal moisture content. Since most solid woods are open grained and highly textured, the solid wood furniture will breathe - expand and contract - with normal temperature and humidity. Intercon was established in 1976 and has become a leading manufacturer, importer, designer, and supplier of solid wood furniture, selling over one million tables, chairs, and china cabinets annually. It has been a family owned and operated business for over 30 years. Intercon has been an industry leader in providing classic, quality furniture, including dining room, bedroom, home office and entertainment collections. We are familiar with all aspects of manufacturing and offshore sourcing of wood dining room, bedroom, and home theater furniture. Our close, long-term relationships with factories and retail dealers have enabled us to provide customized programs that fit both vendor and retailer. As a result, you can find us on the floors of the largest furniture retailers in the USA and Canada. We design, engineer and develop our own products. We also maintain our own quality control team in Asia to ensure proper construction and inspection throughout the manufacturing process. Currently, we operate warehouse and assembly plants in Fife, Washington; Salt Lake City, Utah; Lincoln Park, New Jersey; Atlanta, Georgia; Beijing, China; Vietnam; Malaysia and Slovenia. We also have a manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City, which produces Solid Oak and Knotty Alder tables.
