PRECISION BLASTING SERVICES was founded in 1973 by Calvin J. Konya, Ph.D. to provide the blasting industry with unbiased consulting services to reduce blasting costs and increase efficiency. The company has become the leader in its field in the USA and because of its advanced technology has become known as the consultants' consultant. It is the consulting firm used by the professionals when they need help.

We have taught seminars at clients' facilities in the USA and also in many foreign countries. We can work with you to tailor a seminar to meet your needs. Our associates are well versed in blasting practices around the world. The associates of the Academy have a total combined experience of over 200 years.

The “Academy for Blasting and Explosives Technology” (ABET), was founded in 2005 to provide professional training seminars, ongoing blaster education and research in the field of explosives and blasting. The training facility is located in Northeast Ohio, east of Cleveland, near Montville, Ohio.

Emulsion technology, emulsion plants and packaging equipment are also available through IDC. We license emulsion explosive's technology for building large and small emulsion plants for many types of emulsion explosives. We can do this on a turn-key basis or can work with your company to help them design their emulsion plant and emulsion packaging facilities.
