The Interdevelopmental Institute participates in the field of adult learning with a focus on self development, a focus we make manifest through the active use of research evidence of individuals' mental growth. We follow the mandate of supporting adults' aspiration to be self directed, social engaged, and reflective of their experiences by offering training of graduate quality. In addition, we offer consultation for leadership development in corporate, academic, governmental, and military contexts. Engaged in a broad spectrum of social sciences, our faculty specializes in the constructive-developmental approach to how adults between ages 20 and 100 develop new ways of thinking, feeling, and social relating, thereby steadily increasing their creativity and capability. Our focus on the use of research evidence in coaching and consulting makes us unique. We serve our community by providing a novel perspective on how to live the examined life in a society largely determined by large organizational forces, helping people withstand corporate pressures by developing a high degree of self definition and spiritual focus.
