International Salt Company (ISCO) was formed in 1997 as a privately held concern. The company now employs over 100 people, with more than twenty-six facilities across North America. ISCO's parent company, SPL, supplies salt for use in the agriculture, chemical, deicing and water softening industries. Product arrives in ports across the United States via marine vessels, originating from worldwide sources including Chile and Brazil. The company's sales and production exceeds four million tons per year. International Salt Company has developed a vast network of strategically located packaging facilities, distribution centers and stockpiles to best satisfy the marketplace. Because of its commitment to the customer, ISCO has been able to establish and continually satisfy customers such as New York City, Home Depot, and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, just to name a few. With strong growth since its' inception, International Salt Company is quickly becoming recognized as the premier salt supplier in North America.
