With the problematic issues arising in self insured and captive insurance programs across the nation, International Solutions has focused on providing alternative solutions for running off these blocks of business. Issues in these self insured programs have arisen with joint and several liability, collateral requirements, guaranty associations, assessments, etc. that have created the need to consider alternative approaches. The solutions can involve Loss Portfolio Transfers, run-off administration and other approaches with the goal to provide an Exit Solution meeting the needs of our clients.

Mr. Newton has been involved in the Restructuring of troubled insurance operations for over 25 years leading many successful run-off projects. He has developed creative structures involving carefully planned reinsurance e programs in support of restructured run-off companies, acquisitions, divestiture and governmental privatizations.

Rick has worked in the insurance industry both in the United States and Europe for over 30 years. His experience covers the development of corporate strategies and execution of business expansion plans by organic growth and/or acquisition, including public companies.
