In 2009, NATO commissioned Intersoft Electronics to upgrade several Martello S723-743D radar systems under a Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) . The core of the upgrade consists of a NextGen IF Signal Processor (ISP894) running state-of-the-art algoritms for clutter cancellation based on smart antenna techniques. The upgrade successfully addressed obsolescence and maintenance issues as well as providing significant performance gains in Probability of Detection (Pd), range/azimuth accuracy and resolution.
