Rita Bhatia comes with over twenty years of experience in managing public health and nutrition programmes. She has worked with Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), UN agencies dedicated to protection, public health, food security and nutrition, education of children and HIV and AIDS. Her career emphasis has been on conceptualization, planning, management and evaluation of programmes with result based goals and inter-agency collaboration and capacity development.

Jeffrey S. Klenk has over two decades of experience in emergency operations, disaster management learning programme design, and disaster preparedness consulting. He has managed food emergency responses in West Africa, and led disaster assessment teams throughout Africa, the Caribbean, and the Caucausus, He has worked with government, NGO and UN agencies in more than 50 countries across five continents. In recent years, he has specialized in emergency food security assessment (EFSA), designing and piloting a global EFSA learning programme for the UN World Food Programme and its partners.

Tom Frey has more than 30 years of experience in disaster management, both domestically and internationally. Mr. Frey has extensive experience working with governmental agencies, international organizations, and the US military in both educational and operational settings. He was a key developer of the management system used by the U.S. Government to respond to international disasters, the Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART). He compiled and edited the Field Operations Guide for Disaster Assessment and Response, the standard guide for US Government responders to disasters worldwide. Mr.

Alex Zielske is a special projects coordinator at InterWorks LLC and a Political Science graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has experience in disaster simulation design, humanitarian safety and security training, learning materials development, and international workshop facilitation. Alex has created training modules for UNHCR and IFRC, provided consulting services to WFP-Liberia in the development of their 2013 Country Strategy document, and developed workshop learning materials for disaster simulations in Papua New Guinea, Micronesia, Thailand, and Fiji.

Lynne Bethke has extensive training, research, planning and evaluation experience in the field of education in emergencies and early reconstruction. Through the UNESCO International Institute for Educational Planning she worked with the Ministry of Education in Afghanistan to help develop its first two National Education Strategic Plans and conducted a review of progress in the primary and secondary education sub-sector as part of the Education Joint Sector Review.
