Founded in 2005 by Dr. Howard Follis, Intuitive Medical Software, LLC is a developer of software products that assist medical providers in making the transition to the electronic maintenance and management of patient visits and records. Recognizing the short comings of generic EMRs when used in a specialty practice, Dr. Follis created IMS with the intent to become the dominant provider of physician electronic medical record ("Physician EMR") software to selected surgical and medical specialty physicians in the U.S., initially targeting urologists, cardiologists, and ophthalmologists. IMS has developed an EMR software product that combines a unique, efficient user interface with state-of-the-art database architecture. This innovative design will enhance patient care and minimize treatment errors by helping physicians and their staff become more efficient and accurate in their documentation of medical records. IMS' EMR software program has been specifically designed to address major deficiencies in EMR software currently available to specialty physicians. In most surgical and medical specialties, currently available EMR software lowers practice productivity, resulting in decreased revenues.
