Welcome to IonOptix Since its foundation in 1990 IonOptix has been proudly making quality ratiometric fluorescence and cell dimensioning data acquisition systems. We provide turn-key solutions to a variety of experimental problems and all of our systems combine high performance with reasonable prices. Our customers are life scientists working with isolated cells or blood vessels.
From our international headquarters in Milton, IonOptix produces a range of systems for fluorescent ion quantitation and cell dimension measurements. Our goal is to produce the best possible systems priced within reach of the individual researcher. IonOptix Corporation was formed in 1990 by Dr. Douglas Tillotson, with the goal of developing, manufacturing and selling complete systems for quantifying cellular ion levels using fluorescence indicators. These initial systems were video-rate chopper systems with only a single pair of excitation filters.
The FluoroPlex System is a complete system that combines IonOptix' expertise as a leading manufacturer of fluorometric instruments with Radnoti Tissue Bath Systems and AdInstruments PowerLab data acquisition. The FluoroPlex System collects quantitative fluorescence (including ratiometric data) along with force from up to eight tissue baths simultaneously. Designed with flexibility in mind, the FluoroPlex is a application-driven product that can be tailored to the specific demands of your investigation.

We are unique in offering simultaneous acquisition of fluorescence photometry with digital cell geometry measurements. All individual components are designed and engineered to work as part of a complete and integrated workstation. This approach enables precise, synchronous data acquisition. The systems are fully integrated and installed on-site, so that the researcher can be up to speed within days of delivery.
