We decided to raise emus after we went to a farm show in 1995 and someone had little baby emus on display. Of course we fell in love with them. By that fall we had our first two pair of breeder emu. I am sorry to say the first year we did not get any eggs but we learned a lot and had a lot of entertainment! Since then we have increased our breeders to 16. After we got emus we learned all the benefits these magnificent animals have. I can not imagine living without the emu oil any more. The meat is very tasty and nutritious too. When we got into the emu business we also raised hogs. Now the hogs are gone so we can devote all our time to the birds. We offer emu meat for sale along with a variety of fine quality emu oil products. Most of the oil products we sell are professionally made but I have learned to make some skin cream, lip balm and soap. Emu Oil is great in therapeutic creams for aches and pains, hand lotions, skin creams, and anti-aging creams.
