Description

The Iowa Police Executive Forum (IPEF) was established in 1983 by police chiefs whose goal was to foster a meaningful exchange of ideas through open discussion, research and evaluation of critical law enforcement issues. The IPEF organization is the recognized State Association of Chiefs of Police (SACOP) representative for the State of Iowa to the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP). An IPEF member sits on the IACP Executive Board as a representative from our region of the United States. A member also sits on the SACOP Board. Members are actively engaged in those matters of both state and national prominence and impact. The Iowa Police Executive Forum has taken a leading role in denouncing the practice of racial profiling. IPEF adopted the "Iowa Law Enforcement Non-Discriminatory Resolution" in 2000 and continues to work in a productive way to make Iowa law enforcement a recognized leader in the nation.
