IQ Contracting was formed on April 4, 2004 by Roberto Nunez and Tim Crawford in response to their perceived shortage of good quality concrete contractors in the Triangle market. Tim and Roberto identified this demand specifically as contractors that needed a high in place quality of work, a primary focus on jobsite safety, a commitment to meeting schedules, and a high degree of professionalism in regards to project administration. IQ was founded with the objective of meeting these needs. Dale Rich immediately joined the team as IQ's leader in the field and the company soon started work as a second tier subcontractor to United Forming and Bovis Lend Lease on the North Hills Redevelopment project. Since that time IQ has grown steadily, adding the key people necessary to do concrete contracting on a larger and more varied scale. Today IQ employs over 80 people working everyday on projects smaller than that first job and much larger. This projects vary tremendously, but generally can be described as either conventional concrete services, civil concrete services, or concrete repair and restoration. Today we still work for most of the same clients we started with in 2004, we still will do the small jobs that need to get done, and we still do quality work on time and within budget.
