Kathryn Morgan Bauer, Dipl. OM, L. Ac., MSOM, discovered a passion for acupuncture and Oriental Medicine through her study of medical and cultural anthropology and her experiences with several acupuncturists in San Francisco, California. Her medical background includes extensive study and clinical application of acupuncture and Chinese herbs to address gynecological and fertility issues in women. She was fortunate to receive comprehensive post-graduate training in Japanese-style acupuncture and movement therapy from Jeffrey Dann, Ph. D., L.Ac., a senior master in Traditional Asian Medicine with over 30 years of clinical experience. Kathryn also has additional training and experience in the treatment of sports injuries and pain, which complements and enhances her Japanese-style acupuncture and movement therapy techniques. She is certified in holistic facial rejuvenation acupuncture and massage. She is also certified in Acutonics/Vibrational Medicine. Kathryn's treatments are holistic, noninvasive and thorough. She assesses each individual's medical history, his/her constitutional strengths and weaknesses, and his/her imbalances before developing a customized treatment. She uses her knowledge of acupuncture and herbal medicine, as well as appropriate adjunct therapies (such as dietary and lifestyle recommendations, moxibustion, auriculotherapy, and Acutonics, among others) to achieve optimal results. Kathryn also believes acupuncture and herbal medicine are powerful tools for preventative healthcare. She uses her expertise to bolster constitutional weaknesses or imbalances with the intention of preventing more severe health problems in the future. Kathryn is dedicated to consistent communication with her patients, as she believes her patients' comfort and well-being are essential to the healing process. She will modify treatments on an ongoing basis to maximize results. She also works cooperatively with other medical specialists in order to enhance conventional treatment methods and in order to obtain more profound and enduring results.
