Welcome to Island Cycles and Sports, a full service bicycle shop and extreme sport outdoor outfitter. We specialize in the sale, rental and service of bicycles and scooters as well as kitesurf lessons and sales. Whether you are looking for a vacation rental while staying on Hatteras Island or to purchase a specialty cruiser, mountain bike, road bike or scooter, or Kiting equipment, we are your one stop shop. Island Cycles has two locations, one in Avon, NC (next to Food Lion), and the other 15 miles south in Hatteras Village -- both in the beautiful outer banks. Located on Cape Hatteras, we service the entire island's bicycle and scooter needs, as well as offering rentals of bikes, scooters, kayaks, and surfboards. We are also offering kite surfing instruction and feature the amazing Flexifoil Ion and Atom kite system. Since 1993, Island Cycles and Sports has been serving the local community and our many tourists. Our hours vary with the season, but we are open 12 months a year.
