EJ treats his staff as a business family and with that respects people work / life balance. Due to the heavy sales environment which creates a lot of pressure on the staff, EJ has daily morning meetings to maintain focus, weekly training and self improvement meetings as well as touching base on a personal basis with each employee. EJ also schedules monthly bonding events with just the internal staff, as well as, annual summer and winter family events. He keeps at the forefront the core believes of the company which are under what is the Company’s “Island Way”.

Island Staffing was founded in the year 2002 and currently employs seven internal staff members. The company is owned by E.J. Conrad and “Provides the Right Talent for the Job” by providing customers with technical staffing on a contract, contract to hire, payroll, full time and project basis. ISLAND STAFFING has two other family members currently working in the office, Annette who is an officer of the corporation and works with the HR and Payroll departments and Cassie who is working on a part time basis handling various administrative and recruiting support projects.

After 15 years in the technical staffing business, we opened our own company in 2002. Annette joined the company in April of 2007 and works 20+ hours a week covering administrative and accounting duties. Like most startups, the first office was home-based. In 2005, the business moved into a small industrial office space, where additional staff was added. In 2007, the company moved once again to a larger building and increased its staff. Ranked #18 in the San Diego Business Journal’s list of 100 Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies in 2009.

We provide technical talent from executive to entry level professionals and provide recruiting for consultants, contractors, contract-to-hire, and direct hire placements. We do all of this while providing the highest levels of quality, ethics and integrity.
