Thure Cerling is a senior scientist at IsoForensics with interests in the isotope biogeochemistry of processes occurring near the Earth's surface. He has wide experience in the chemistry of soils, sediments, plants, and animals in both field and laboratory conditions. He has worked extensively in North America and Africa on problems of geology and human origins. Thure, a member of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, is a founding member of IsoForensics.
Lesley Chesson is a senior scientist at IsoForensics with more than 10 years of experience conducting stable isotope analyses. Her interests lie primarily in the forensic applications of stable isotope analysis and she has investigated microbes, human hair, tap water, and a variety of foods and beverages. Lesley heads the firm’s Services section, working to develop stable isotope applications to assist (1) law enforcement in the forensic analysis of human remains and other evidence, and (2) food manufacturers with questions of adulteration, authentication, and origin.
