A major difference between JMM Architects and other firms is the principal involvement of the architects in each project. Our architects work as a team to design and plan each nursing, skilled nursing, retirement, assisted living, and elder care home and community. Mike Milligan, the Principal of JMM Architects, is personally involved in all phases of the nursing, skilled nursing, retirement, assisted living, and elder care home and community design and planning. He is an Architect first, enjoying the practice much more than business management.

A major difference between JMM Architects, Inc. and other firms is the principal’s involvement in each project. Our staff of fourteen works as a team to complete each commission, and I am personally involved in all phases of the project. As principal of the firm, I generally direct the schematic design work, coordinate major construction details and building systems, and often perform some of our construction administration services. I am an Architect first, enjoying the practice much more than business management.

Experience: Ninety-nine percent our firm’s work is in the field of design for the elderly. JMM has experience on more than 700 senior living projects and has gained valuable insight from each one. As specialists in elder-care design, our entire staff is highly qualified and experienced in these projects. We routinely analyze our experiences from previous projects to continually improve our design products. We often take our entire staff to completed projects for a group evaluation and discussion to evaluate our work and learn as a group from our completed works.

Client Satisfaction: Our client base comes largely from repeat business (as you will see from the attached listing of our senior projects) or referrals from other satisfied clients. We enjoy an exceptional reputation as a leading designer of Senior Living Facilities and, as a result, do very little active marketing. Our firm’s marketing effort largely consists of responding to inquires or RFP’s.

We are well known for providing design services for projects that are very well received at an affordable price. We are also respected for providing high quality, well detailed construction documents that assist in the development of a successful project.
