JPMS Cox was founded in 1987 by certified public accountants whose desire was to provide a range and quality of accounting, tax and consulting services not readily available in Arkansas. The partners, all with Big Four accounting firm experience, desired to bring the big firm experience to the middle market.

The Firm recognizes and values the importance of the CPA designation. Obtaining the license to practice as a CPA reflects the professional’s personal commitment to his or her chosen career, as well as the necessary skills and proficiency to provide a high-quality level of service to the Firm’s clients. To encourage and support each professional in their attainment of the CPA desgination, the Firm provides a library of study material and Coaches to encourage, counsel, and track the progress of each professional.

Our small business services department is equipped to help our non-audit clients with bookkeeping and payroll services. We are able to file sales taxes and property tax reports for clients who need these services. We provide other consulting services, as needed, for special bookkeeping or accounting questions. Some of our clients are not able to fully staff a controller’s department, and our small business services group will fill in the gap where these services are needed.
