JR walked us through every step..." - Jeff & Kristy W "I believe we never would have been able to get it together to sell our..." - Zipora and Harold K JR brings 19 years of selling and negotiating experience to the table. Having graduated from Ball State University in 1991 with a degree in Personal Selling & Marketing, JR immediately took this education and put it to work. From 1990-1991 JR worked in an internship for Promotional Marketing Incorporated, representing the company's largest client in 3 major markets, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, and Chicago. Upon graduating JR moved to San Diego to tackle a new challenge. He went to work in a small family owned company that supplied products to the gift and furniture accessory markets. One of the founding partners had left the firm, and JR was brought in to replace his sales and marketing contributions and told the sky is the limit. In just a few short years JR had elevated himself to the top sales person in the company, introduced new products to new markets and was afforded ownership in the firm. He worked closely with his partners to make payroll, sales goals, develop products and hit profit margins and in dealing with all company vendors to negotiate pricing for supplies. In 2001 JR and his partners were faced with difficult decisions, all were growing their families and traveling half of the year for business was no longer intriguing. On top of this, it was apparent to JR and his partners that to remain competitive in this industry it would be necessary to increase travel overseas and forge relationships in Asia to survive. This was not an option, as JR and his partners were not about to spend less time with their families. The company was sold and JR immediately began to focus all of his skills and energy towards the real estate business. Having lived in San Diego for nearly 19 years, the last 12 years in Aviara/Carlsbad, developing personal and professional relationships along the way, this made perfect sense to JR. What business would allow him to utilize his selling, marketing, and negotiating skills coupled with these local relationships: Real Estate. Putting himself in a position to learn and succeed was priority one. JR aligned himself with a friend who had helped him purchase and finance his first home in the 90's, Tim Walsh of Classic Realty & Walsh Financial Services. Tim brought nearly 25 years experience to the table, a complete understanding of all sides of the business having been through up and down markets. Tim had built his business the same way that JR wished to build his, on the TRUST & REFERRALS of satisfied clients. This relationship, in its 7th year, also has afforded JR the opportunity to learn both the financing and sales sides of the real estate business, which gives JR complete understanding of all facets of the residential transaction. In a very difficult real estate market JR has seen double digit growth in his business each and every year. Why the success in such difficult times? Simple….
