Having amassed the industry’s largest raise mining equipment fleet, Redpath’s innovative, patented designs and concepts have been providing raise mining services and solutions for over 35 years. We bring experienced management, quality supervision and a highly capable workforce to every project.

Mr. Rowat has over 25 years of experience in Information technology with global experience in IT operations, best practices, standardization and administration. Mr. Rowat joined Redpath in April 2013 and is responsible for the company’s IT strategy, resources and continuous improvement initiatives around the globe.

Mr. Redpath eventually reached his goal of becoming a shaftman and eventually shaft leader, but soon found himself curious about what it would be like to run his own mine contracting company. Driven by his strong work ethic, his 26 years of age and nothing to lose, he jumped in with both feet. The company J.S. Redpath Limited was incorporated in October, 1962. By 1967, J.S. Redpath Limited had secured over 5 projects. One of these founding projects broke a decades old North American record.

From concept to commissioning, we combine our global competencies and skills with innovative techniques, regulatory knowledge, regional expertise and cultural sensitivity. All of which allows us to provide timely front-end engineering and design models, as well as selection and sourcing of hoisting facilities, to fast-track any shaft project. This seamless project planning phase has continually proven to yield high quality products that exceed our clients’ expectations.

In addition to the full range of underground services provided to the global metal mining sector, Redpath also provides services to the coal mining sector as well as the civil construction industry in select market areas. Our experience in some of these specialty services originates in Australia and South Africa.
