Description

In September 2007, Oconee River Produce was purchased by Joey Johnson and Scott Rudd and the name was changed to J&S Produce. Both Johnson and Rudd led the sales team at Oconee River Produce for 21 years. Oconee River Produce was the dream of the late Richard Berry. Berry wanted to create a local market where he and other farmers from South-Central Georgia could bring their products to sale. His dream became a reality in the spring of 1987. This spring, J&S Produce, began another season and 23rd overall operating as a sales agent for approximately 50 growers in Montgomery County and 14 surrounding counties. J&S Produce has networked together a group of farms in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Ohio to develop year-round continuity. J&S features “Georgia Grown ” products during the local season. The goal is to connect quality produce from quality growers to a bigger market of chain stores and wholesalers across America. Specializing in green beans, green pepper, yellow squash, zucchini, cucumbers, eggplant and Vidalia Onions, J&S Produce can work with you to meet your produce needs. In addition to these products, J&S offers a full line of southern vegetables and organic vegetables upon request.
