"It felt like it was almost done overnight," Bielek said. "I know for the people who were waiting for it to open, it took forever. But when you consider how much road we had to build, it went as fast as imaginable." Construction on the Trans Mountain West Project began in 2012 and cost about $61 million, according to TxDOT. The project turned a two-lane undivided roadway into a four-lane highway with a median and two frontage roads that run from Interstate-10 near Canutillo to Franklin Mountains State Park. It coincides with the $50 million Trans Mountain Northeast Project, which began in 2011.

Amadeo is an avid fan and Longhorn tailgater who brings 33 years of experience in transportation management to our team at Abrams. Mr. Saenz has served as President of WASHTO and Chairman of ASHTO's standing committee of Highway Board of Directors. When not in Austin, Amadeo is Home on the Range.

Jim's a Washington Huskies civil engineer and has been with the company forever. Jim's expertise allows our company to explore various area or jobsite options for precast, prestress, or pre-engineered project components. The "Lefty Duffer's" prestressing experience in segmental, post tensioning and knowledge of materials contributes to all facets of our operations.

J. D. Abrams, L.P. is dedicated to developing the career paths of entry-level college graduates. We continually recruit entry-level graduates for positions throughout our company's operations. We offer a variety of positions that will be the starting grounds for a great career in the construction industry. We believe in cross training our entry-level graduates to find the interests of that individual, whether it's in field operations or the Estimating Department in the corporate office.
