Jacksonville Flying Service

Description

Jacksonville Flying Service works together with Coastal Carolina Community College to present the ground schools shown on this page. Students will have the opportunity to concurrently complete the flight training required for a private pilot certificate or an instrument rating . The cost of the flight training is not included in the tuition for the ground school. This course will provide you with the aeronautical knowledge required of a safe, competent private pilot. During the course you will study the basics of aerodynamic theory, the flight environment, the national airspace system and air traffic control procedures, basic weather theory, weather reports and forecasts, the Federal Aviation Regulations, airplane performance, VFR cross-country navigation planning and techniques, aeronautical decision making, physiology of flight and safe flying practices. When you complete this course you will be prepared to pass the FAA Private Pilot Airman Knowledge Test.
