Expedited shipments are handled via Team Service, Team Drivers or Relay Service. Team Service is your solution for time-critical, service sensitive truckload or LTL, Less Than Truckload shipments and is used when you have the need to get your expedited shipments delivered at faster than normal transit times. Team service is the recommended mode for those time critical expedited shipments that are either too large or cost prohibitive for air freight service yet still need to move as fast as possible over the road. Team or Relay service should be requested when delivery deadlines are tighter than your normal transit windows. Relay service coordinates driver changes at designated relay points with little or no down time at each exchange point. Jameson Logistics expedited shipping service is offered 24 hours per day 365 days per year. We have the ability to provide immediate freight service to and from any point in North America. We provide freight brokerage solutions, strategic outsourcing, and distribution network carrier analysis to ensure that all carriers are DOD and USTRANSCOM compliant. Jameson Logistics is teamed with many commercial carriers to source the best possible routes and rates to support the US Transportation Command's mission. In our program, 3PL coordinators receive shipment requirements, identify consolidation and optimization opportunities, produce a shipment plan for delivery, arrange for the carrier, and perform carrier quality assurance functions throughout shipment execution.

And because we handle thousands of shipments through our popular website and truckload brokerage we have negotiated discounted prices that are some of the best in the industry. LTL shipments typically range from 100 to 10,000 LBS and can be loose cartons, pallets of banded or wrapped cartons, bins, drums or a number of other packaging configurations. Charges for LTL shipments are determined by numerous factors but basically use weight, density, portability, fragility, value, special handling requirements, transit miles and often service levels as the primary pricing criteria. Each shipment is assigned a freight classification based on these criteria and is rated accordingly. The charges are determined using either a pricing schedule called a tariff, used by one or more carriers and filed with the Federal or State governments, or a contract written between the shipper(s) and the carrier(s). In many cases a fuel surcharge is also added to the charges depending on the Department of Transportation's published price of diesel fuel for the week.
