Jason Buss

Description

Jason grew up in Westford, VT and went to college at the University of Southern Maine and studied Environmental Science and Policy. After spending several seasons managing a Vermont state park, Jason opted for adventure and moved to the Caribbean. There, he spent 2 years as site manager for an environmental field school where his responsibilities ranged from maintenance of the motor boats, to construction of the SCUBA shed, to supervising the local staff. After returning to Vermont, Jason rejoined the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps and now serves as the Director of Finance and Technology. An experiential educator by trade, Carrie has taught in a variety of settings--in the classroom, on a ropes course, and in the middle of the savannah. She has a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources from the University of Vermont and a Master's of Education from St. Michael's College. After teaching high school biology for four and half years, Carrie joined Middlebury's Career Services Office in the fall of 2008. We both love the out of doors and have interest in many active pursuits that will bring us there. For starters, we enjoy canoeing and hiking, cross country skiing and snowshoeing, and have a large organic garden and several bee hives. Additionally, Jason enjoys woodworking and web development. Carrie spends her winters knitting and day dreaming about the garden.
