Description
“I think I filled out the very first volunteer form at Jeremiah Program,” Mae Brooks , an Employment Advocate for Jeremiah Works! ,” said. She started out cooking meals, providing childcare and eventually began working on the Employment Task Force, now called Jeremiah Works! . Brooks has been volunteering at Jeremiah Program for over 10 years, and helping students with their employment goals for at least eight years.
Jeremiah Program is a 501c (3) non-profit organization. Jeremiah Program assists single mothers and their children to break the cycle of poverty by providing a campus community where they can prosper in all senses of the word. We have had a remarkable impact on our community for over 10 years, serving more than 250 women and children.
Jeremiah’s national expansion has several phases to ensure that the environment and economic climates are conducive for a particular expansion location. While the desired outcomes and program components will be consistent in all expansion sites, the model may look different from community to community. For example, in one community Jeremiah may partner with a developer to build, own and manage a campus, while in another Jeremiah may partner with an existing housing organization to provide services. Click here for more detailed information about the phases of expansion.
We provide single mothers and their children with a safe and affordable place to live, quality early childhood education, empowerment and life skills training, and support for career-track education.
