At Jersey Community Hospital, our volunteers add that special touch. The Volunteer Department at Jersey Community Hospital began in 1979, shortly after the hospital moved to its new campus on the southwest corner of Jerseyville. It was founded to supplement the activities of paid staff and to provide helping hands and caring that money cannot buy.

Founded in 1951, The Joint Commission seeks to continuously improve health care for the public, in collaboration with other stakeholders, by evaluating health care organizations and inspiring them to excel in providing safe and effective care of the highest quality and value.

Jersey Community Hospital has been serving this community since 1954. Although many things have changed in healthcare over the years, our primary focus is YOU! As an independent facility owned by the people of Jersey County, we are dedicated to becoming your primary healthcare resource.
