Mr. Battan’s prior jobs included the IT West Coast Infrastructure Manager for Columbia Management Group (a subsidiary of Bank of America ), Director of Information Technology for Crabbe Huson Group, Inc (now part of BofA)., MIS Manager for Informix Software (now part of IBM), Director of Network and Computing Services for Ideon Group (now defunct), Manager of the Network Operations Center for Sequent Computer Systems (also now part of IBM ), and working for Fluke Corporation in Seattle writing compilers and assemblers. He has been an "Internet surfer" since before it was called the Internet, and has traveled extensively throughout the world. Mr. Battan has an Honors Bachelors of Science in Computer Science and a Minor in Discrete Mathematics from Colorado State University and attended Phillips Exeter Academy . He is a Phi Beta Kappa , Mensa -eligible, ITIL certified, an Able Toastmaster , and has taught graduate courses in information technology at Marylhurst University .
