Description
When hired to provide construction management, Johnson Wilson Constructors' efforts are concentrated on a timely and economical delivery of a top quality project. Using business and management skills, as well as our knowledge of general contracting practices, we develop cost estimates and budgets, schedules for design and construction, and a system for planning, organizing and monitoring the construction progress.
To assist owners in their historic renovation projects, we provide consulting and assistance in the historic tax credit application process to insure that the available tax credits are obtained.
We have diversified team experience in providing constructability analysis, preconstruction cost estimating & budget analysis, scheduling, zoning review approvals and permitting strategies. Our wide experience and design-build methods are value added to our clients in producing high quality, successful projects.
Located in Duluth, Minnesota, Johnson Wilson Constructors has more than 39 years of building experience in Duluth and the surrounding areas. We employ 85 to 100 skilled tradesmen and have a staff of 13 experienced project superintendents. We have earned a reputation for completing projects on time or ahead of schedule and within or below budget—and always built exactly as specified. You can trust that everything we promise will be delivered.
History Johnson Wilson Constructors was founded in Duluth, Minnesota in 1971 by Ron Johnson and Bill Wilson. The partners’ first major project was development, design, construction and management of the College Street Court Apartments, built from 1972 to ’75. Later they completed Applewood Knoll, Applewood West and Fairmont School apartments, responding to a housing market need in the 1970s.
