Description

Established in 1961, Jones Plastic and Engineering Company, LLC is a privately held custom injection molder headquartered in Jeffersontown, Kentucky, a suburb of Louisville. We currently have 6 facilities, 5 molding and our Rev-A-Shelf subsidiary. We offer complete art-to-part capabilities to our customers through our Product Design Center. Our domestic and off-shore tooling partners provide support to our facilities located in both the USA and Mexico.

Faster time to market, competitive industry, innovation and quality. These have been the driving force behind the Appliance industry to which Jones Plastic has been an integral supplier for more than 20 years. We have supplied millions of parts for our OEM customers in many different Large Appliances such as refrigerators, dishwashers, washers and dryers. From vegetable pans to refrigerator handles, from washing machine agitators to tubs, we have supplied just about every component for the appliance industry.

Quality – Our customers have come to expect it from us and we have a proven track record of delivering it. We were one of the first privately held custom injection molders to be ISO9001 Registered at our Engineering, Design and Tooling Center. All of our production facilities are ISO9002 Registered and our Camden facility is also QS9000 Registered. We have practiced Six Sigma techniques with our customers as well as other quality programs for many years.

Kitting is a significant portion of our business that has allowed our customers to completely outsource a portion of their business. We take components we both make and purchase, pack them together in a carton with instructions, ship them to our customers in specific orders so that the next person who sees the products is the end consumer. Shipping costs, handling cost and labor cost have been significantly reduced for both us and our customers by bringing more value added to the injection molding press, thereby reducing costs to the end consumer.

Since we are in a very competitive industry, we are continuously trying to improve flow and eliminate waste. We continue to focus on value added activities for our customer. We have been transforming our corporation into a lean enterprise and will continue to pursue perfection in an effort to satisfy our customers with quality, delivery and price.
