Our mission is “to provide a welcoming, safe, caring, and Christ-centered environment to provide the spiritual, physical, emotional, and social needs of children and their families in crisis.” We must rise above any diverting or distracting personal agendas, pursuits, and desires.

A Joy Ranch representative will be glad to come to your church, class, civic organization or agency to share our vision of the Joy Ranch mission and provide details of the services we provide to our community.

A planned gift to Joy Ranch helps to ensure the future of services and programs we provide to children and their families for many years to come. Planned gifts include gifts through your will, charitable gift annuities, gifts of life insurance, pooled income funds, and charitable trusts.

Joy Ranch of Woodlawn, VA was incorporated in 1957 and opened its doors in 1961 under the direction of the late Rev. Richard and Mary McHenry with a vision of providing a home for children and leading them to Jesus Christ. With the generous help of many faithful supporters, Joy Ranch has served over 5,000 children and is considered home by many of its former residents.
