Description

With over 30 years in the oil industry, Alan Erb has experience in the Appalachian, Illinois, Michigan, Central Oklahoma, East Texas and Permian Basin areas. He has two Bachelor of Science degrees, one in Civil Engineering (1979) and another in Petroleum Engineering (1983), from Penn State University where he graduated with honors. While working on his Petroleum Engineering degree, Alan was employed by Penn Power & Light Co. as a Dam Engineer. In 1982, he ran the core lab for Pennzoil Exploration and Production Company.

After Jerry Atkinson graduated from Southern Methodist University in 1957 with a Bachelor of Science in Geology, he spent three years in the United States Army. Following hi military service, he moved to Midland in 1965 with Dearborn Chemical Company, a division of WR Grace & Co. In 1967, Jerry drilled his first well in the Permian Basin, initiating his career as an independent oil operator. After operating for 20 years as a proprietorship, JVA Operating Company was incorporated in 1987 and Jerry maintains an active role in the company.
