K&K Iron Works, Incorporated was created by Karl Kulhanek, a blacksmith from the Czech Republic who came to America in 1966. After working for 11 years as a steel fabricator in the Chicago area, Karl established his own company. K&K Iron Works, Incorporated began as a small operation in Karl’s garage, and with two decades of hard work and the help of his family, Karl reached an impressive goal: He grew the company into the premier steel fabricator and installer in the Midwest. Today, thirty years after its inception, K&K Iron Works, Incorporated proudly continues in the tradition of Karl Kulhanek, operating with his trademark of integrity and dedication. In partnership with H.I.G. Capital , a leading private equity firm, and run by Karl’s sons, Karl Jr. and Jerry Kulhanek, K&K Iron Works, Incorporated offers customers the convenience of a full-service operation — from design to fabrication to installation.
