Earning the distinction as the construction manager on the first LEED platinum certified building in Virginia, the VCU Rice Center, KBS has extensive experience in a variety of sustainable construction projects, giving us a vast knowledge of cost-effective sustainable materials, systems and techniques.
With more than 30 years of experience in traditional general contracting, KBS offers proven project management systems with local resources.
The buildings are designed to meet the needs of psychiatric patients and increase safety, while personalizing patient treatment. The single-story patient wings consist of light gauge steel framing on a masonry foundation and concrete footings. The exterior is brick veneer with fiber cement lap siding. The roof consists of an EPDM system and architectural shingles.
Demand has grown tremendously, and senior facilities are as diverse as the needs of the residents. From continuing care, to assisted living, to luxury retirement communities, KBS has the experience to meet the needs of today's seniors.
