Our pioneering K-Fuel™ process enriches and upgrades low-grade subbituminous coal and lignite into a high Btu, low moisture, low emission product, enabling the coal-fired industry to cost-effectively boost efficiency and meet air emission standards.A 750,000 ton per year K-Fuel™ production facility near Gillette, Wyoming is on schedule to begin production in the fourth quarter of 2005. KFx’s goal is to produce approximately 50 million tons per year of K-Fuel™ within the next 5 years. KFx plans to develop and operate K-Fuel™ production plants domestically, either wholly owned or through joint ventures, and through international licensing to third parties.
