In conjunction with his professional practice, he has shared his enthusiasm for architecture and design as a teacher for over 20 years and is currently an Adjunct Professor of Architecture at Philadelphia University. Mr. Kass is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the Society of Architectural Historians, and serves as a Board Member on the Philadelphia chapter of The Institute of Classical Architecture & Art.

Our architecture and design firm specializes in residential design of new homes, additions and renovations of country homes and estates, as well as urban townhouses and apartments. Kass & Associates excels in creating a high level of craft and character for homes in both traditional and contemporary settings.

Interior walls were selectively removed to provide an open flow of space and openings between rooms to enhance light and expansive river views. The living room includes a bay window with an upholstered bench seat. An adjacent, enclosed porch has a heated, tumbled slate floor which provides the perfect setting for family gatherings and meals during any season. Beyond the dining room, the kitchen displays a custom designed cork floor in a lively, over-scaled patchwork quilt pattern.

In 2003, Kass & Associates was selected as an Architect for Philadelphia Magazine's Design Home at the The Lanesborough, providing architectural design services for the transformation of the building's lobby and new street canopy, as well as designing the 3,500 square foot Traditional Showcase Unit. With the success of the showcase design, Kass & Associates designed 8 additional full-floor apartments in the building for individual Owners and provided marketing plans for the penthouse and other floors for the building's developer.
