JANUARY J. KIM, ARNP, is a licensed Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience treating the older adolescent and adult population. Prior to joining Kavalier & Associates in March of 2002, she worked in rural Iowa in underserved areas as a provider of both psychotherapy and medication management.

NAMI IOWA is a non-profit, state-wide grass roots organization. Our mission is to raise public awareness and concern about mental illness, to foster research, to improve treatment and to upgrade the system of care for the people of Iowa. We work to support our mission through education, advocacy and support.

LISA L. DITTMER, LISW obtained her Master's Degree in Social Work in 1995 from the University of Iowa and has over seventeen years of experience working with children and families in the Des Moines area. Ms. Dittmer has practiced at multiple levels in the continuum of care including inpatient and partial hospital work and in-home therapy. She has also served as the Director of an outpatient day treatment program for adolescents. Since joining Kavalier & Associates in July of 1999, Lisa has enjoyed providing outpatient individual and family therapy services to adolescents and adults with a variety of presenting concerns. She works from a primarily cognitive approach.

Kavalier & Associates is a full service psychiatric practice providing help for individuals and families with a wide range of needs. Some of the more common concerns evaluated and treated at the practice include Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, depression, anxiety, relationship problems, and school difficulties.

Kavalier & Associates serves the mental health needs of people of all ages by providing individualized services designed to restore and enhance each persons unique qualities and their contributions to society.
