Erin Bahn is a partner and leads the Immigration Department at Kavinoky Cook LLP. Ms. Bahn is admitted to practice law in the State of New York. She has been practicing U.S. immigration law for over ten years. She has extensive experience working with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service, and the U.S. Department of State. She provides U.S. immigration representation to a wide variety of clients ranging from large public corporations employing over 11,000 people worldwide to single individuals. Ms.

Because we have a long tradition of community service that dates back to our inception in 1949, Kavinoky Cook has considerable experience representing governmental and not-for-profit entities. In Western New York we have represented municipalities and county government, as well as public authorities and agencies. Laurence Rubin has held numerous positions in local government, including Corporation Counsel to the City of Buffalo, Buffalo Commissioner of Community Development, Erie County Commissioner of Environment and Planning, and County Attorney.

Our expertise and experience with private and public offerings is unusual for a firm our size. We have experience in handling a variety of exempt private offerings, including preparation of private offering memos and negotiation of private placement agreements. We also have experience handling registered public offerings, reverse mergers, re-sale registration statements, cross-listings in the United States and Canada and ongoing securities law compliance. Our publicly traded clients typically trade on the NASD: OTC. We also assist with state securities law compliance for issuers.

Having focused on the Canadian market for more than 20 years, we have experience with the unique cross border issues that Canadian businesses experience in the U.S.

The markets we serve extend across the United States and into Canada. While we have a great deal of experience representing Canadian companies that are doing business in the United States, we do not practice Canadian law. We do maintain a specific expertise in cross-border transactional law. In Buffalo, we are thought of as a local firm, but our client base extends through New York City and Toronto, with significant clients in Texas, Nevada, Indiana and Ohio.
