Complete and accredited in-house capabilities for testing are a key part to providing quality products. Kay performs in-process product testing and process controls for 100% quality documentation. We test all materials used in our products including films, inks and adhesives. Over the years, Kay has invested in state-of-the-art equipment and recruiting the best qualified people to utilize it. As part of this extensive testing, more than 35,000 weathering panels containing over 250,000 samples have been evaluated over the past 35 years.

During the past 40 years, Kay Automotive Graphics has maintained a position of leadership in the creation and supply of distinctive high-quality automotive trim. Today we are the largest producer of OEM graphics in the world and have produced over 500 million parts to date. Our corporate mission includes a strategic focus on the development, design, and manufacture of automotive trim products while remaining committed to providing excellence in quality, environmental compliance, value and responsiveness to our customers.

The Kay CAD department utilize the latest systems to ensure compatibility with each OEM manufacturers standard around the world. Producing the plans for tooling is a critically essential step in the production process, a quarter millimeter difference can completely change the way a part fits. The CAD department quality checks each drawing to ensure it meets the specification outlined for the part before sending it to the next stage in development. Working with existing data is always possible.

The design department is the core of many projects produced at Kay Automotive Graphics. Manufacturers occasionally have a part approved and ready to go straight into production, however, many times there are changes made to the part before its ready to be produced. Kay designers are fully equipped with the latest technology to ensure our capability to create innovation design and styling concepts that will meet or exceed our customers expectations. An idea is all that is needed to put our design staff to work creating several concepts for a part.

Kay employs a team of 500 in three plants located in Michigan, Mexico, and Wales (UK). These three locations, comprising of over 200,000 sq. ft in manufacturing space, work together as a global team to provide world-class excellence in design, engineering, creative graphics and prototype services our customers have come to rely on.
