Description

March 17, 1972, Ralph Keiper left the Military Service behind and returned to Pocono Lake where he lived with his parents, he went to work at the Tobyhanna Army Depot. In 1973, he met and later married Sherry Argot and they settled in Pocono Pines. On April of 1975 he left the Army Depot and on May 1st, 1975 Ralph Keiper opened Keiper's Lock Shop. Being a young man and not knowing any better, without a business plan or outside financing, he learned the locksmith trade, bought a tool kit and went on the road. The first vechicle used was the family car and he worked out of the trunk. This, unfortunately, didn't work out so well. Everything needed for each new job always seemed to be located in the bottom of the trunk!
