Our products liability team successfully represents clients who must defend the integrity of their products, from medical devices to pharmaceutical, industrial, or consumer products. We advise our products liability clients on issues such as regulatory compliance, preventive practices and indemnity agreements , recognizing that each client has unique needs when dealing with laws that potentially allow both consumers and government agencies to challenge the design and manufacturing integrity of its products.

Kenney & Markowitz LLP was founded in 1991 by Ken Markowitz and Steve Kenney (1944-2007). Our primary business is in helping our clients solve national and international legal problems, as well as numerous state and local issues they may come up against. Our approach to helping our clients is unique in that we trust and communicate with our clients and take a common sense, business-oriented approach to solving the legal issues at hand.

Ken has provided pro bono legal services to clients for many years. He is particularly proud to have recently represented the Sausalito Cruising Club in an action brought by the California Alcoholic Beverage Control Department. The Department sought to revoke the Club's liquor license, but Ken successfully defended the charges in an administrative trial. The Club is a local non-profit Bay Area nautical and social club that has been in existence for over 60 years. It is uniquely situated on the Sausalito waterfront.

We pay attention to the details. We try cases for clients whose problems can best be resolved by experienced trial attorneys who assume the risks and burdens of a complex trial. Our support staff of skilled paralegals and case clerks uses state-of-the-art computer technology to complement the litigation effort. This team enables us to provide the attention to detail essential to the preparation of complex litigation for trial, to a judge, jury, or arbitrator.

The key issue in an aviation case often is not what happened, but rather what law governs it and what rights does that law grant each party to the case. We have been an integral part of litigation that led to the development of national case law involving core aviation litigation concepts such as the preemptive effect of aviation regulations and international treaties. We represent airlines, fixed based operators, cargo handlers, and fuel distributors and have been involved in many high profile aviation disaster cases litigated in California, across the United States and abroad.
