Kern Medical Center Auxiliary, founded in 1969, is a nonprofit member organization. The Auxiliary's mission is to provide volunteer services to Kern Medical Center, the patients, visitors and family members; to promote public relations for KMC in the community; to raise funds for the betterment of the hospital and to promote interest in health careers.

We offer an extensive array of services to all - regardless of their circumstances. We continue to add new medical technologies, recruit outstanding physicians in new specialties, and further expand our affiliation with UCLA. We are proud of our founding mission focused on caring for you and your loved ones with the highest quality and most compassionate service.

Kern Medical Center (KMC) plays a vital role in providing health care services to our community and training medical professionals as the only academic medical center in the region. As part of this responsibility, KMC serves a critical function as a safety net provider with its faculty and medical resident physicians caring for a significant number of the County's underserved population.
