Dr. Whitman, a recipient of the American Medical Association Physician's Recognition Award, currently serves as the Clinical correspondent for the American Academy of Ophthalmology, He is a past President of the American College of Eye Surgeons and the Dallas Academy of Ophthalmology. He is one of the most experienced cataract and refractive surgeons in the nation and he has been recognized each year by his peers in D Magazine for more than a decade.
