O.R. "Jack" Campbell was born on March 13, 1921 in Chouteau to John and Maud Irene (Bell) Campbell. He was the youngest of six children and he grew up in Chouteau. As a child, he attended school at New Canaan School then later Chouteau and then Pryor High School. Jack married Octavia Duncan on December 4, 1954 in Pryor. They made their home in Pryor where Jack worked as a sub-station engineer at GRDA for over 34 years; he retired in 1983.
