*Kildysart Drama Society is busy putting final touches to its production of Mary Halpin’s “Semi Private”, which will be staged next weekend. The play’s director, Jane Casey, has worked with a cast, which included many of the regulars of previous productions, together with newcomer Janeanne McGolderick and Patricia MacSweeney, who returns after a few years absence from the stage. The play is a comedy and is set in a hospital ward. The play will be staged in the Community Centre next Friday, March 4, and Sunday March 6, at 8.30 p.m. and again Saturday, March 12. Doors open at 7.45 p.m. Recent Death The community were shocked last weekend by the sudden and untimely death of Tommy Cavanagh, Ballylean East and Crovraghan. A large crowd attended Tommy’s funeral on both days. He is survived by his sisters, Ann, Mary, Teresa, brothers, P. J. and Eddie, niece, Caroline; sisters and brothers in law, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family and many friends.
