John started Kimzey Welding Works Inc. in Woodland, California following World War II service as a Marine infantryman in the Pacific. At first, Mr. Kimzey serviced farms and drilling platforms in Yolo County from a portable welding truck. He then branched out into metal fabrication, making everything from custom truck bumpers to ditch diggers.
